| Begur is not situated at the coast, but it is certainly worth a visit. The village lies 200 meters above sea level and has a beautiful sight over the Mediterranean from the old castle that can also be visited. There are a lot of cosy restaurants, nice shops and in the summer regularly concerts and appearances are organised at the central place. In addition concerts are regularly organised in August in the Santa Pere-church. |

Pals, is a Middle-aged little town in which the beautiful monumental castle, town walls and old
buildings are perfectly integrated. It is very nice to walk through the town, with all the old, cosy and
special shops and restaurants. From Pals that also lies above the sea, you have again a terrific view over
the Mediterranean and the inlands of the Costa Brava.
Please, do not confuse Pals with Platja the Pals that lies about 5 kilometres further at the coast. |

| Figueres, the capital of the old-Empordà, is a really attractive place for tourists because of its Dalí-museum. During his life, this surrealistic painter was not so popular in his place of birth Figueres, but these years the citizens are very proud of their old-citizen. As a whole this place breathes an agreeable French atmosphere. In the first week of May Figueres celebrates the ‘Festes de la Santa Creu’ with dancing, a market and music. |

Cadaqués is a well known coastal town because of all the artists that lived here through the years. Artists like Paul Éluard, Picasso, Santiago Rusiñol and particularly Salvador Dalí. The house of Dalí still exists and it is possible to visit this place. In addition the art museum is a very good possibility for a cultural trip. Of course there are a lot of galleries and chic boutiques to be found in the beautiful, white-silhouetted Cadaqués due to its history. Cosy terraces and souvenir shops are also well represented. |
